Sustainability

Jansons is committed to preserving this beautiful planet of ours for future generations. All products are ethically sourced, processed and delivered; right from the use of organic cotton as raw material to the finished product and final delivery.

The company follows a policy of effective waste management and pollution control to protect Mother Earth. Some of these initiatives include:

1. Effluent Treatment Plant (EFT) for waste water irrigation.

2. Zero wastage. Zero pollution.

3. Rain water harvesting.

4. 100% commitment to environment protection.

Effluent Treatment plant

Jansons has installed an ETP with capabilities to treat 1.5 mn litres/day, which enables the company to reuse 100% of the waste water to the process again. Zero discharge systems are achieved as per PCB norms.

Through these measures, Jansons is committed to protect the fragile eco-system of the planet, which is our gift to our children, our future. Our ETP stands tall as a model recycling facility in this part of the world.

Renewable energy

Jansons, in its progressive move to generate power in eco-friendly ways and also become self-reliant in electricity production, has installed windmills at Kanyakumari and Coimbatore districts in Southern India. These windmills generate 3 MW of captive power and cater to 75% of Jansons power requirements.

Better Cotton Initiative

We are a part of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) which is a non-profit organization that promotes better standards in cotton farming and practices across 24 countries. The initiative now represents around 12% of global cotton production worldwide.

Afforestation

Our concern for Mother Nature is what drives us to take special initiatives in planting more than 1,50,000 trees and diligently explore advanced scientific methods of afforestation.
